Campaign Manager 2024

It's election season here in the US, and what better way to celebrate than with a presidential election game from the 80s, revamped and nearly entirely re-coded for your entertainment! Play with up to 4 friends to get your candidate to the White House! ...CAMPAIGN MANAGER was a type-in game that my dad played -- specifically, from COMPUTE! magazine -- and when I played the original, I was enthusiastic about the concept but not particularly impressed with the quality. I started with an assembly hack: fixing some bugs, adding more players, and eventually I mapped out and re-coded the entire program. Adding 4-player support, debates, events, sound, custom candidates and maps, a much more realistic way of representing votes, the whole nine yards.
